HOW TO DECK THE TABLE FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL

1. PLACE SETTINGS: Use premium paper products to create a place setting they won't soon forget.  Layer plates in different shapes to create interest and dimension. This CLASSIC NOTEBOOK PAPER PLATE and CANDY APPLE RED PLATE combo gets an A+ in our books! Accent with coordinating napkins. We couldn't decide on just one so we grabbed this adorable REPORT CARD NAPKIN as well as the PINK ERASER NAPKIN. It had us at "Practice not Perfection"! COMPOSITION BOOK CUPS complete the look!

2. TABLERUNNER: Tie your table together with this RULER TABLE RUNNER. For extra flair sprinkle confetti in your school colors!

3. DIY CENTERPIECE: Follow the steps below to recreate our Colorful Back-To-School Centerpiece!
  • Supplies: Round Vase, Crayons, Double-Sided Tape, Scissors, Duct Tape, RULER TABLE RUNNER, & flowers of your choice.
  • Begin by measuring & cutting the RULER TABLE RUNNER to fit on the outside of your vase.
  • We had to cut our RULER TABLE RUNNER piece in half for the perfect fit.
  • Add a strip of Duct Tape to the center of the paper. This strengthens the paper and creates the base for our crayons. I wanted to be able to use these crayons when we are done with the centerpiece, so I preferred to use double-sided tape to attach the crayons, but feel free to use hot glue for a stronger hold. I added strips of double-sided tape to the duct tape and began placing the crayons.
  • Once all of the crayons are attached carefully flip the paper over. Add a strip of duct tape to the top and bottom to strengthen the paper. I again added double-sided tape to adhere the paper to the round vase. I added a final crayon to cover the seam.
  • Fill with your favorite flowers - real or faux and ENJOY!

4. PERSONALIZE IT! My number one rule when DECKing the table for kids is personalize it. A fellow Deck the Table friend suggested adding their names to the Composition Cups. I found these printable pennant flags, attached to 12 inch dowel rods, and adorned with a touch of ribbon. Yes, I hand wrote their names. I promise they loved them all the same!

Wishing you & yours an amazing first day and awesome School year!!!
