Framed Art Hula Hoop DIY
At the Party Peach we're not just about setting a fabulous table, but setting the scene for memories to be made. So how do we "set the scene" exactly? Well...pick a wall, accent table, any area to decorate and coordinate with the look of your table. For our "You Are Magical" brunch I decided to create a framed piece of art using the same print that was featured in our April Party Peach Box. BONUS: Snag your own copy of the image below!!!
First up let's gather our supplies. For this project you will need the following:
- An oversized print. (I used a 30x36 print - more details below)
- Foam Board or Card board
- Spray Adhesive
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Hula Hoop (I used a 24 inch hoop)
- Gold Spray Paint
- Glitter, flowers, anything you want to add a little "extra"
For the oversized print, I went to staples.com and ordered a color engineering print. This is a budget friendly way to get an extra large print. For this project I ordered a 30x36 print for around $10. Now, keep in mind, these are engineering prints so the paper is super thin, but using spray adhesive to attach your print to foam board or card board is a simple fix. Use scissors to cut your print to the desired shape.
Spray paint the hoop the color of your choice. I went bold with a touch of gold. I had to do a couple of coats to cover it completely.
Once the hoop is dry your ready to attach it to your print. I used hot glue to attach them together. Go all along the sides securing the pieces together. Trim any excess as needed and add glitter, flowers, anything to add a bit of Party Peach Chic! Now you have a fabulous piece of art!!
